3D Printing
I bought a Qu-BD One-UP printer from Kickstarter as a Christmas gift to myself. It arrived on December 31st, and I have been struggling to get it printing ever since! Problems have ranged from missing and broken parts to poorly designed components. I don't recommend anyone purchase a cheap 3D printer unless you're willing to spend 10x more time fixing it than printing.
Since then I have had access to a number of Makerbots, Cubicons, etc.and I've been using them to print a variety of things. Sometime it's even easier to print something than go buy it from the store (ex. my toothbrush holder). As well, I was able to print replacement parts for my board games, custom pieces, as well as various Christmas gifts for friends. Photos can be seen below!

If you are interested in downloading some of my creations, feel free to do so below. I will keep this list updated as I go.
- Ticket to Ride Trains (SolidWorks Model, STL File). Print on high resolution (Layer height: 0.1mm). Unfortunately, I could not produce high quality prints with a hollow inside, like the game pieces have. I also had to remove the detailing from one side of the train, such that it can sit flat on the printer bed. I've included the SolidWorks model so feel free to try a more ambitious print!
